Today, I start a new initiative. I call the "find a new girlfriend before my birthday" scheme (which incidentally is October 27th). It's not out of desperation, nor is a cry for help; I just love having someone around and I'm really missing that at the moment. I've been single now for the longest time since I started dating at around 17 - since February 1st to be precise, and I'm just bored of it now. It was fun for a while, especially as I was moving to London, but enough is enough. I love the feeling of having someone to share my life with; who I can call when I'm bored; who makes me smile whenever I see them and who I can do tonnes of fun stuff with.
So what am I after?
Well, a female to start with. Don't ask about looks as I have a very varied taste. I like 'quirky' though (make of that what you will). Someone between 21 and 27 (I prefer older women generally), who likes to laugh, has a lot to say and who enjoys both the mad crazy "go out and go mental" times as well as the "stay in with hot chocolate, the sofa and a film" times.
Obviously similar interests would be a good thing, so I'll tell you what I like.
I love the theatre but never manage to find someone to go to the shows that I want to see, so someone who likes that is definitely beneficial (I soooo want to see Wicked at the moment). I like to sing, whether it's at karaoke, playing a gig or just sitting at home playing guitar and singing songs. A women that can play an instrument, especially the guitar has a sure-fire route to my heart. I also like to dance and can salsa pretty well. I was taking lessons but now I've moved work locations I need to try and find a new local venue in order to do it.
I primarily enjoy guitar based music but also like anything I can dance to, but that covers a pretty broad spectrum.
I'll be honest, I suppose I can be a bit of a handful at times. I don't really like sitting still for too long and can get distracted pretty easily, but I'm very open, honest and highly dedicated towards everything that I do. I'm horribly ambitious, I love swanky restaurants and I take my coke with a double bourbon.
