...all the waitresses have great boobs don't they?

Champagne_glass It's a fact, champagne hangovers are the WORST. As I sit here, tired, hungover and contemplating things, I can't help but try and recover the lost memories from last night!

Because of the radio show, Katie and I were invited to the launch party for "The Londoner" last night. Yet another in a long line of unwanted newspapers. I remember someone moaning about a waste of paper, and something about rainforests. I don't think I was paying attention.

Anyway, we trundled along there, and I have to say, it was awesome! I have never seen such a collection of hot young media-types in my life. I don't think I saw an unattractive person all night. They must have had a Paul Whitehouse-esque, Kevin and Perry Go Large style bouncer on the door. "Your face... ooo... offends my mirror". Attica, the venue in question, was really nice. A very classy joint. We played games with the barstaff, though they don't know about that, because we timed how long it took to get a fresh glass of champagne once I'd put my empty one on the table. 1 minute and 42 seconds! That beats a sweaty crowd and an alcohol-fueled queue for the bar. And I managed to pick up three business cards. Three!! The reason I find that amazing is that I only remember getting one - the manager of "Gun Mother" - the artist that was performing live in there. He's sending me his CD today. Free! Nice! I've just emailed them all, so maybe I'll find out soon what it was all about.

What I want to know is, how did I spend £40ish in an all night freebar? I think we must have gone somewhere else after the party. I have the vague recollection of a corridor in another venue, but don't really remember anything else. I blame the G'n'Ts! In fact, thinking about it, there is so much that I don't remember from last night. I don't remember leaving the party, but I do remember picking up my scarf from the cloakroom; I don't remember going home; I sure as hell don't remember getting in! I don't remember where we went after the party, though it's evident we went somewhere as Katie spent money too; I don't remember people at the party, but I'll always remember "Pocahontas". There was a girl in with a dress on that made her look like Pocahontas. I doubt it was deliberate, but we had a good laugh about it.

I do remember talking to a lot of people though, especially a group of four girls that managed to hold my attention for a surprisingly long time. And I do remember that me and Katie were the first people dancing. I remember the girl with the straightest fringe on the planet, and I remember Katie's comment of "...all the waitresses have great boobs don't they?" I mean, how are you supposed to answer that!?!

But all that aside, it's a bit of a blur, though not a complete and total blackout!

So tonight is the night. Grass Roots radio has its first show tonight. It's going to be so awesome! There's the Simon Pegg interview, and we have Kyle Eastwood live on the show as well as some other surprises. Check out http://www.xstreameast.co.uk for all the details you'll need on how to listen. I'm also going to put it on here for download as well as starting a podcast at some point tomorrow.

Now, if only I could get rid of this damn hangover!
