Hold up, SquirrelTime

For those of you who listened to the show last night, you may recall me mentioning that someone could have a Son Veneno CD that we had to give away if they sent in a drawing of a squirrel; but it had to be done in Microsoft Paint. No Photoshop cheating allowed! Paint shows real skill!

We were instantly flooded with one entry, from Katie's little sister Hollie, but it was a stroke of genius, so I thought I'd share it with you now. Enjoy

Hollie's Squirrel

Like I said... genius!!!

Grass Roots Show 2 Roundup

Dscf0731 Yesterday, show 2 in of Grass Roots hit the air, and in my opinion it was an awesome improvement on last weeks show. Personally, I was more comfortable and was confident going into the show from the very beginning and I think it showed in the quality and quantity of the conversation between Katie and I. It just flowed. We just bouced off each other, and everything fell into place.

I suppose we were a bit better prepared this week, but we did end up running a fair bit ahead of schedule and had to fish out a load more songs, but no-one will have noticed that.

This week introduced a couple of our new regular features including Album of the Week, which was "The Killers - Sam's Town", Aussie Corner with the round up of everything from Down Under and Gig Review, highlighting the cream of the live music scene in the London area. We also played a tonne of top songs with a lot more of my influence now that I've been CD shopping.

Dscf0733 If you're interested in listening to the show, I made a recording of it as it went out last night, which I've made available for downloading.

Please right click here then "save as..." and save it to your hard-drive as it will eat my bandwidth if everyone streams it. I have to apologise about the quality though. I forgot my input cable to my recorder so had to record it from some speakers into the microphone, and it's designed for direct speech interviews, so the bass is a little crappy, but it's not too bad.

Oh, and half way through the "know your co-presenter" questions, Wayne aka "The Torch" who does the show before us is talking in the room and you can hear him, so apologies for that.

Anyway, I've love to know what you think of the show, and if there's any features that you can suggest; so if you have any idea, comments, concepts or anything else, drop me a line or leave a and I'll see what we can do.
